Flint Hill resident and local contractor Edward “Eddie” Fletcher’s case on embezzlement charges came up in Rappahannock County General District Court Tuesday, the second felony charge related to a Woodville construction and remodeling job.
Fletcher’s case was continued to May 6 for a preliminary hearing on the embezzlement charge.
Fletcher, 55, is accused of embezzling $32,000 from Robert McKee and his wife, according to a criminal complaint filed in General District Court.
Fletcher is also facing a felony charge for construction fraud, failing to perform a promise of construction, according to court records, after he received $456,081.45 from the McKees for the demolition, construction and remodeling of their home in Woodville.
