Trebor Maitin is a Rappahannock News reporter, joining the newspaper in 2026 as a Report for America corps member. A Pennsylvania native, Maitin previously worked for the Centre Daily Times in State College, Pennsylvania, and covered state government as an intern with the Pennsylvania Legislative Correspondents’ Association in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Maitin holds a bachelor’s degree in government from Lafayette College, where he was managing editor of the student newspaper, The Lafayette. He also holds a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University.
