According to a preelection poll by Ipsos, a global market research firm, there was a direct correlation between voting preference and voting knowledge:
“Americans who answer questions about inflation, crime, and immigration incorrectly are more likely to opt for Trump, while Americans who answer those questions correctly prefer Harris.”
So, are the election results the final nail in the coffin for legacy media … and the triumph of the new media landscape of disinformation and partisan propaganda … and the emergence of an authoritarian state in which “Nothing is true, and everything is possible.”
Rather than giving up, however, it is now all the more imperative to support your community newspaper and nonprofits like Foothills Forum.
