The Rappahannock News and Foothills Forum on Tuesday evening held a reception at the Little Washington Theatre to announce the winners of the 2022 Storytelling Contest. Winners, who earned cash prizes, were selected by an independent panel of judges who evaluated each submission without knowledge of the contestants’ name, grade or school.
We are also delighted to recognize the 36 other students who told stories through essays, poems, videos, music, YouTube videos, artwork and dialogues. Rappahannock County harbors enormous talent. Thank you also to the teachers and school leaders at all of our County’s schools: Rappahannock County Middle and High Schools, Hearthstone School, Belle Meade Montessori School, Wakefield Country Day School.
Winners’ work will be published in the Rappahannock News early next year.
